Let's preface this post by saying that The Other Boleyn Girl is probably one of my favorite books ever, second only to Dune.  Anne Boleyn is, to me, one of the most fascinating people in history and that book in particular is kind of the perfect portrayal of Anne for me.  I probably own every book ever written on the woman, and to me she was a fiery tempered bitch.  And that's what I love about her.  She's just completely fascinating.

So when I found out they were making a movie based on the book I was excited.  Then I found out who they cast as Anne. Don't get me wrong, I like Natalie Portman.  I don't love her, but she's all right. She's just NOT Anne.  She's too...nice.

As far as the movie goes....

All in all I was terribly dissapointed but I knew I would be.  I still think the Tudors got it right, to me Natalie Dormer is the perfect Anne.  She's got just the right look and temper and plays her wonderfully.  Not that there are not faults with The Tudors, but it's the closest thing to what I picture.

It's snowing, I'm hoping work will be cancelled tomorrow.

I probably won't be around much this weekend....homework and all that rot.
